Which EV charger should I choose?

Do I need a survey before installation?

Yes. We check your incoming supply, consumer unit, earthing arrangement and cable route before installation so the quote you receive is the price you pay.

Can my charger use electricity from my solar panels?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All three chargers we install support charging from self-generated solar, with the Zappi's ECO and ECO+ modes and Sync Energy's Auto Solar Charging offering direct solar diversion.

Will my electrical supply cope with a charge point?

Accepted Answer

Most domestic single-phase supplies will support a 7.4kW charge point, sometimes with load management. We confirm this at survey stage and specify load curtailment where it is required.
