Legal

Terms of business.

{company.legalName} — company number {company.companyNumber}, {fullAddress}.

Quotations

Quotations are issued in writing and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. A quotation covers only the work described in it; anything discovered on site that falls outside that scope will be raised with you and priced before it is carried out.

Where a survey is required — for solar, battery storage or larger electrical projects — the quotation is issued after the survey.

Prices and VAT

Prices for solar, battery storage and EV charging are quoted as fully installed figures. Electrical rates such as EICR and PAT testing are quoted excluding VAT where stated. VAT treatment for energy-saving materials is applied in line with current HMRC rules at the time of installation.

Access and site conditions

You are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the working areas, including loft spaces, consumer units and roof access points where relevant. Where access cannot be provided on the agreed date, we may need to reschedule and charge for the abortive visit.

Workmanship and certification

All work is carried out in accordance with BS 7671 and is tested and certified on completion. Notifiable work is registered under our NICEIC approval, and solar and battery installations are registered with MCS where applicable.

Warranties

Our workmanship is warranted for 12 months from completion. Equipment such as panels, inverters, batteries and charge points carries the manufacturer's own warranty, which we register on your behalf and confirm in your handover documentation.

Payment

Payment terms are set out on your quotation. For larger installations a deposit is normally payable on order, with the balance due on completion. Invoices are payable within the terms stated on the invoice.

Cancellation

Where you contract with us as a consumer away from our premises, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days. If you ask us to begin work within that period and then cancel, we may charge for work already carried out and materials already ordered.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our liability is limited to the value of the contracted work, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Complaints

If something is not right, contact us and we will put it right. As an NICEIC approved contractor and RECC member we also operate under those schemes' complaints and dispute resolution procedures.
